A while back I wanted to find a way to incorporate more oats into my diet because I (as do many of us) lack enough fibre in my diet. I don't like a lot of sweet stuff, and having something sweet first thing in the morning was never very appealing to me. Not to say that I never have any pastries, but my stomach always veers towards savory first thing.
I made this for a friend recently, and they've been bugging me to finally write the recipe down, so here you go! :)
Ingredients
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup soy milk
1 cup water
1 small thumb of ginger, thinly sliced
1 tbsp liquid aminos + more to taste
1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
Salt
Instructions
Add the oats, soy milk, water and ginger to a pan then bring to a boil
Turn off the heat, add seasonings to taste
*Optional - Add a fried egg on top
